DESCRIPTION:Through the application of Astronova’s unique positive displace
 ment pump technology they are creating novel solutions for cardiovascular 
 circulatory support and other blood or bio fluid applications.  The Astron
 ova blood/bio-fluid pump is a high flow\, low speed (RPM)\, highly efficie
 nt pumping system. The pump has low fluid velocity changes\, with an RPM a
 s low as 1/10th of current pumps in the market. This has the potential to 
 dramatically reduce sheer stresses and damage to various bio-fluids\, incl
 uding blood.\n \nBen Wheeler is the CEO of Astronova Pty Ltd.  Astronova h
 as developed a very unique\, proprietary positive displacement pump specif
 ically for cardiac assist and circulatory support in the medical field.  B
 en is the third generation of technology entrepreneurs and inventors.  Thi
 s pumping technology was invented by his grandfather and father.  Ben has 
 held key roles in the development and commercialisation of this pump techn
 ology over the past 15 years.  His unique experience building technology s
 tart-ups and consulting / working alongside large multinational corporatio
 ns during that time has given him specialist knowledge and global capabili
 ties.  Ben’s role in Astronova is multidimensional\; he is fundamental in 
 the development of the core technology\, manages engineering processes\, p
 rototyping and manufacturing as well as corporate strategy. Ben has a stro
 ng belief in the capabilities of the technology and the benefits it will p
