Postponing our Club Forum last Tuesday proved to be a sound decision, as very few members were able to attend. But as usual, those present were able to discuss several important matters to the benefit of all.

Most important was Ted’s sad announcement that he has been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease. It is only six weeks since Paddye Parnell was our guest speaker and explained to us the work of Dementia Australia, so we are well aware of the implications of Ted’s announcement. While he may not be able to come to meetings in future as frequently as he would wish, Ted is very keen to continue his work as our Bulletin Editor and, needless to say, we are very happy for him to carry on his excellent work as long as he feels able.

There are many Rotary events on the calendar over coming weeks and if anyone has some time over the weekend of 19th – 20th May, none would be better to see than the Model United Nations Assembly (MUNA) at Epping Boys High School. We are sponsoring two teams from Monte Sant Angelo, although I confess I do not know which countries they are representing this year. It is great fun to see and there is always need for volunteer helpers! Perhaps you may also help the following Sunday morning during the Salvation Army’s Red Shield Appeal at the ACU?
