The amazing and informative presentations organised by PP Ken Preshaw continued again last week when we welcomed Stewart James, General Manager, Health and Hospitals, Hammond Healthcare. Gerri Marr, Community Engagement Office at Hammond Healthcare also joined us.

Gerrie’s background depth and Community work sounds most engaging and commendable. Stewart gave us a detailed and very interesting background history of Hammond Healthcare and then shared with us the plans under way for a new healthcare approach at Greenwich Hospital.

A new 74 bed facility is on the way providing nursing in the same facility for the aged without having to transfer from Nursing Home to Palliative Care in a separate building – and more.

It was a pleasure to welcome two guests: Alan Colburt who lives locally and a past member of Kenthurst club, and Paul Taylor – all the way from South Australia – and staying in his family’s local holiday digs.

President Iain and Sophia continue their Japan adventure but will be back in time for our AGM on 5th December.

Our Guest Speaker this week will be Denis van Someren. Dennis is Community Services Director at Kenthurst Club and will speak with us about SHINE for Kids. Have a great week. PP Warren Greig In President Iain’s absence
