Doug Cato, our speaker at last Tuesday’s meeting gave us many suggestions on how to keep or house cooler in Summer and warmer in Winter.  As you will recall that day temperatures in Sydney hit the high 30’s so his tips may have eased the conditions for some of us who do not have air-conditioning!

Doug will be once again speaking to us in May with an update on his research program monitoring the effect various levels of noise has on whales.

PP Iain has suggested that we participate in Clean up Australia to be conducted on Sunday, 3 March. I will be registering our interest to pick up rubbish on the harbour foreshore of Waverton. Further details will be advised in due course but I ask that members put the date in their diary.

Saturday, 23 February will mark Rotary’s 114th year and Barry Rassin, President of Rotary International 2018-2019 has reminded us of the significant impact we have had globally and locally.

On Tuesday, 19 February, Stephanie Heighes will inform us on the work NTA (Nusa Tenggara Association) is doing in West Timor. She will also report on the 2018 Music and Dance Festival held last November in Maumere .
